94 accord lighting issue
I have a 94 accord, dx with many lx upgrades. I am currently having several electrical problems and not sure if they are related so I will list them all. The small lights fuse under the hood (#32, 15A) pops everytime I turn on parking lights. After this fuse pops I lose all marker lights, tail lights and dash lights. headlights, brake lights and turn signals still work. I have added side markers and made the bumper lights on at all times instead of turn signals. These wires have been verified good.
The next issue is the fuel level gage. It gives faulty readings randomly (does not read full when full or empty when empty). I can usually get it to come back on after beating the dash.
Third issue is car starting. The car will randomly not start, it only clicks. battery and starter cables were replaced, starter replaced with know good one. I can get the car to start by taping the starter with key in start position. voltage to the ignition is 12.4 volts, and ignition reads good but voltage to starter is only 11.1 volts and there is less than one ohm resistance in the wires between the two.
fourth issue: at opearting temperature, if I accelerate hard (all the way to the floor) and RPM gets over 4500, the temp gage will drop all the way down, just as cold as before the car was turned on.
sorry that this is so wordy but I am not sure if any of these are related or not, they all showed up within 2 months of each other and only after 230,000 miles. any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Andy
