sounds like a similar problem I had with one of mine. If the check engine light is on you should count the blinks...if that goes out you'll never know what happened. Those blinks will create a number to look up in the book. As far as knowing if fuel is for sure the problem....put some gas in a spray bottle and spray it into your throttle body, if it doesn't start that isn't your problem...or pull a fuel line and turn on the key, see if gas comes out.
