hello everyone i am new to this site. any helpful replies are appreciated.
i am working on a 99 honda accord LX.
im having the damdest time making it run right. i just dropped in a new engine
(35k miles so almost new) after all was said and done the car ran and drove fine with no CEL. all fluids freshly changed. after a month or so it started to run funny. starting bustin up and would not idle right. making noises so i looked over the car and found a broken knock sensor.got it replaced.after a few weeks it started again and the cat went bad. so this is what i have replaced so far:
new high flow cat
new O2 sensors Upper/Lower
EGR valve new
and new TPS
the car runs and idles fine with a little miss. no CEL.
as soon as i put the car in drive then here comes the rough idle.
sometimes to the point it shuts off. it fires right back up
but idles bad. after it sits a while it idles perfect but stumbles and misses when i try to drive away. sometimes it will go but most of the time it wont.
no CEL unless i force the car,then i get P1399 random misfire
i dont know what else to do. i may try to reset the timing but that shouldnt be the problem as i have not tampered withthe belt yet.
im at the end of my rope. someone help! i wanna drive the car into a river but we dont have one close enuff! help
