MK has huge potential if it were done correctly; this seems like it's in the right direction.

I think one of the major problems with the first two movies wasn't so much the acting as it was the toned down nature to help sell it as a semi-kid friendly movie. Now that 90% of the audience has grown up it will be easier to get away with people performing screwed up fatalities and whatnot.
