yes its advisable to get the allignment after the strut install as you took out the bolts on the struts and the knuckles. now on the allignment printout, you will know if something is bent on your car if you see the words SAI (steering axis inclination) and this is RED and the other side is all green, then it means you hit something pretty bad and the allignment alone could not correct it anymore.
in yuor case, i think your allingment is just off.
