Yeah this made the rounds a few months ago. Seems like generally speaking if SWAT exercises a no-knock warrant, they take out any dogs "just in case."
As for whether or not some weed warrants a no-knock warrant and SWAT, well, that's up for debate.
Probably worse when SWAT gets sent to the wrong damn door in the first place.
There was a more recent thing in Detroit where some cops with a camera crew from that show First 48 raided a duplex for a suspect who lived in the upstairs half of the duplex. They killed a girl like 7 years old who lived in the downstairs half.
Also a couple years ago there was a drug ring in the DC area that was shipping packages to random addresses and intercepting them before delivery. One of the random addresses was the mayor of some Maryland suburb of DC, and the package actually made it to the doorstep, SWAT busted in and killed the family dogs.
