The B18B and B18B1 are pretty much the same motor, one JDM the other USDM. The engine code is stamped on the front of the block where the motor and trans join; check this for sure, the JDM version will never end in a number. If it's a true Honda LSD trans, it will have LSD stamped on it in red letters. They are quick cars because they are so light. Most stock hondas/acuras rev well past 7k, so don't base anything on being shown that. I couldn't see needing a stage 3 clutch for really anything but a heavily modified car; and most all OBD2 honda trans are hydraulic. This is all off the top of my head, but if you have any other questions post them. Any pics you can get of the motor and trans and we can help ID them for you.
