I would consider putting in a GSR crank if it was me. You'd get the equivalent of a ls/vtec setup with more reliability.
But I thought the purpose of ls/vtec is to have the longer stroke of the ls crank for bottom end torque and have vtec for high end horsepower. And if you build up ls/vtec right you can be able to have the higher rev.
