Mixed bag on this one honestly.

The dad tried to sue Westboro for some ridiculous amount and lost the case.

Westboro counter-sued for their court and lawyer fees and nothing much over that amount.


So he sued and lost so legally they can hit him for the money (obviously). If the father hadn't gone for the gold and tried to break them in one hit he would have fared better and set a precedent against them for others who have to endure this shit. Instead he fucked it up and made them not only bolder but force him to pay while grieving a son they condemned as a baby killer.

It's sad it happened but he should have told his lawyer to ramp it down and just wing them with a fair compensation instead of going nuts.

Personally I wish Westboro would all wind up dead in the Vegas desert somewhere never to be seen or heard from again.
