He cast it on me when he had 280k hitpoints left. I think next time I fight him I will veer away from staggering him since after that is when he will use destructo. Maybe then he won't use doom so early. I think I also called in Odin too soon. Actually I think he casts doom on if you aren't killing him fast enough. Maybe try to be more offensive and see how it goes? Destructo really shouldn't be a big problem if you're attacking him while he's powering it up.
I would try to save Odin until you have (if you have) Doom casted on you... I'm 95% sure that the counter goes away while your in summon mode. Also, if your part leader can be changed to a ravager, Odin and your leader should have to problem staggering the boss by yourselves before Odin is de-summoned. Remember that when you summon, your party is fully restored, that included debuffs. Summoning, in a way, is your final "oh shit" button.
