I saw this in a montage yesterday and was wondering if I could copy the effect.
1. I needed a location to posterize the image. Check. Found a nice blank wall at the end.
2. gotta find the image. Check. The image is from Deviant Art (Google).
3. I took a screenshot of the wall and modified the exterm image to look dimensional. Test fitted it in the photo editing software, saved the image as a .PNG with transparent background.
4. Drag the image into Vegas, then onto it's own video track. From there, used the pan / crop to resize and position the image.
5. Added some effects to fade the image in / out at the spot i picked.
It's easy to do again, but a bitch to figure out. I tried to YouTube the problem I was having (image disappearing after resize & positioning when image is in the #1 layer) and came up with nothing. Resolved the issue absolutely randomly. No clue what I did to make it work. : \
