One of my buddies from college is half irish (irish/italian combo). He goes home to Scranton every year to celebrate. Apparently the parade/party up there is a major show.
Philadelphia has a bus called the Erin Express which carts drunks from irish pub to irish pub on the weekends surrounding St. Patty's day. I went a few times when I was younger and it sure is a shit show.
