Yeah in a race application I can see it being a good alternative to high test, but the thing that gets me is they are blending it with pump fuel and charging more for it yet lowering your mileage at the same time. Seems to me if this is truly a renewable energy source it would lower the cost and e85 would be somewhere in the $1.50 a gallon range instead of averaging $2.75 like normal gas does.
With it's octane rating I was thinking it'd be a good complement to race gas instead of a replacement. I'm thinking that the octane may allow for better component selection for a race/DD setup
