Bungie has been VERY good about not bastardizing the franchise.

Look at what happened with Guitar Hero. GHIII really put them on the map ... now, after 15+ titles since (in 2 years), Red Octane (dev studio) was closed by Activision.

I hope MSFT doesn't go ballistic issuing "Halo" games when they have full control over the direction.
