If you are going to have plants, dont forget the tools. Loppers, hedge trimmer, rake, blower, hand held tools...and if you are having a lawn or a garden...that involves a different set of tools. But all of those are relatively small and inexpensive.
Not sure if we're going to have a yard/plants or not. If we do, it will likely be a very small one. I'm completely anti-yardwork, as growing up on my parents well-kept 2 acres and having to spend 6 hours mowing/trimming/weedwhacking every week for my formative years has left me with an eternal distaste for it. Unlike working on cars or building something, where I get satisfaction and can see the fruits of my labor, yardwork sucks because you know you are just going to have to do the same thing in a week or two.

And I always look forward to Nightshade's helpful, timely comments.
