i think you misinterpreted what i meant. i dont mind learning and working at taking good pictures, i tend to think i have a good eye and can take great shots even with my current p&s. what i mean is i dont want to buy it and have to go and purchase new lenses to get a great shot. id rather know that i can work with what it comes with for a bit.

obviously great pictures can be taken with the kit lens, proven by yours and jays examples, so thats all i really needed to see to know its possible.
