Your head unit is more like 60w RMS, 200W peak (which means nothing), plus it sounds like you aren't even using the internal amp since you have an external amp. Bottom line, if you don't need a cap, you definitely don't need a gauge to monitor your electrical.

I still say get a DIN pocket, and just don't put crap in it if that is your biggest issue with getting one. You can get a CD case that would fit in there perfectly for example.
