I have 2 WRT54G routers running DDWRT.

One is in my living room in client mode and my XBOX and DVR are connected. The other is serving my wireless connection.

In short, DDWRT can do what you're wanting if you have compatible routers.

I had a XBOX1 adapter, but am giving it to my Brother-in-law since I set up DDWRT Client Bridge on one. One disadvantage to running the XBOX1 adapter is that you can only run WEP Encryption.
