Well.. think about it, why do you restart your computer at home? Sometimes it gets jacked up and doesn't run right... so, you've got to start it fresh again...
That's the way I see it, I have been wrong before. 
whenever i have some sort of problem with my tv or if i can get a menu or something off it i just turn it off and turn it back on. that seems to work for a lot of electronics
