Yeah $100 extra gets you either the 55-200 or a color. Neither of which I feel like paying $100 for. I bought the base black 18-55 kit for $513 after the discounts. That free sling bag looks pretty sweet actually:

We'll see how quickly I go for the Tamron 17-50. There's one of the Vivitar 55/2.8 macros on ebay right now that ends Friday so that's my next move.

I'm also trying to resist the urge to buy some kind of less-shitty-in-low-light p&s for NYE because I don't have anything like that right now either. Damn camera addiction!!!!
