I was thinking about this concept, all though I'm sure many people have already done it. My buddy has a maxima that has close to 400 flywheel hp, and one of the things that he uses is a special setup that sprays fine mist alcohol directly into the intake manifold to cool the air down really fast (as you guys know, colder air= more dense air).......At first I was thinking that it would be complicated to set this up...but then it hit me....why not just use a direct port nitrous setup, and replace the nitrous with alcohol ? This way have a system that increases your performance considerably, but at the same time, isn't as potentially harmful to your engine as nitrous . Have you guys ever heard of anyone doing this before ? Do you guys think that this would work ? What kind of hp gains do you think it would create ?
