if the amp is completely blown, then you wouldnt hear anything....if no power is getting through the amp to the subs themselves, then you would have absolute silence from them...

just to prove the point, go unhook the power cable from your amp...if youve got everything hooked up correctly, your subs wont be doing a thing...

check the fuse going to the amp from your battery, and check the fuse on the amp itself...if either one of those is blown, replace it, and then you'll be able to give us a better idea of whats actually happening...
