It's the same process for a D series, except you don't need a special tool, just a flathead screwdriver, 10mm box-end wrench, and the appropriate feeler gauges. Follow the valve lash specs that are printed on the sticker on the underside of your hood. Valve lash specs might also be in your owner's manual. 6th gen D16Y valve lash is:
intake: 0.18-0.22mm(0.007-0.009in)
exhaust: 0.23-0.27mm(0.009-0.011in)

I would expect 5th gen D series specs to be similar, but doublecheck that sticker on your hood.
