doesn't happen on just 3rd gear... that's just when i first noticed it. seen it in 4th, but intermittent in all cases.... sometimes it wont happen at all.

drove it again yesterday to better observe. while i was on 3rd gear, going around 30 mph at 2500 rpms, i gave it more gas and the rpms just shot up to around 3500 but speed remained the same. then it was back to normal after that. then i was on 4th gear at around 40mph and 2500rpm, gave it more gas and the rpms jumped to 3500 but speed stayed the same. then back to normal again. drove for another 15 mins on the highway and local streets, but couldnt get it to behave that way anymore.
