Default slipping clutch or something else?

hi folks, i need ur input on this. i was driving my 95 accord ex sedan up a slight grade road (highway overpass) in 3rd gear. i tried to accelerate to pass a car, but the engine just revved higher really quick, but the car did not go any faster. i eased off the gas till i was able to get it to somewhat accelerate. since then i can not seem to accelerate normally without the same scenario happening. is this the symptom of a slipping clutch that needs to be replaced? or could it still be other things? no leaks in clutch master and slave cylinders - i had both replaced a couple yrs ago. still a good amount of clutch fluid in the reservoir, however, the fluid looks a bit darker than before. any tips to better diagnose the issue? thanks all.
