just wondering if anybody uses devices like the Kindle and sony reader

the kindle seems like a really cool device once you get over the amount of control Amazon has over the actual device (they can remotely delete your books apparently).. the cool things about it is you can pretty much download the book the moment you want to read it over EVDO (downloading service is free!)... the prices for the ebooks are usually the same as the actual book.. free to $10... can even browse the internet on it.... only available in the US. :squint:

the sony reader is the other good option... but im always afraid of sony stuff because they always limit what you can use with them... eg: sony device can only use sony memory cards, sony headphones and sony approved books...

if you dont would you ever consider one?
what do you like/dislike about it?
