So, my mom's best friend has put me in charge of finding her a new car. She's pretty set on a Bimmer. She really wants a e60 5er w/ AWD... doesn't want to spend much more than 20k. Doesn't drive stick, so must be auto.

She thinks the 3's are a little small, but realistically, they'll be fine for her. I've been finding some e60's in her price range, but she would be more comfortable spending around 15k, which is e46 territory.

My question is, how well do the e60's hold up? Would it be a bad idea to get a 530xi w/ 78k on it for ~$22,000?
