Just took the combo outlet apart (it's CATV and LAN, btw). The LAN socket is a RJ-45 jack (network patch connector) and the wires are 8 wire and blue. It seems the problem is the media patch board they used is for telephone....so....
I'll have a pic up in a bit, damn batteries need to keep recharging.
