Yes, once, and it sucked. My friend says "I've got a girl I want you to meet." I say "Sure, lets all go out for drinks sometime as a group, no pressure that way." Next thing I know this girl is calling my office line -- my friend gave her my office phone number without asking me. WTF? How does "lets go out for drinks as a group" turn into "give her my office number because I would rather have her calling me at WORK than on my cell?"

Ended up going out with her once. She was nice enough and moderately attractive, but after about half an hour I could tell I wasn't interested. Then we still had to finish dinner and go to a bar to play pool. She called me a few times after that, and I don't know that I ever called her back. If I ask a girl out and then find out I'm not interested, I'll man up and tell her why. But if I never asked her out in the first place and the whole date was awkward, what am I supposed to say then? I guess that's what it feels like to be a chick asked out by a guy she doesn't like. :chuckles:
