That little plastic vaccum box should not have been removed. I just looked under the hood of my car and checked my Chilton's manual. I did not need to remove the box or hose that goes to the throttle body. You may want to find one somewhere and put it back in. The hose and the box didn't even get in the way, because installing a CAI is just like putting on a standard intake, with the only exception being the diameter boot (2.5 in. to 3 in. boot connecting the t.b. to the new, larger intake). The hoses that go to the valve cover and t.b. from the tube are the only other replacements. Every thing else should remain the same.
