First time on a honda forum. I have always been a die hard jdm fan..99 si..98 gsx..wrx...So when it came down to getting another car it came down to the si, gti. I test drove both and ended up with a white 07 gti dsg..y

Civic si. High...great engine (when in vtec) great 6 speed..LSD..price..
Low...horrible down low (engine)..shifting a lot during a drive..stlying outside and in (imo)..tunning (a lot of money to get good power)..looking like a high school teenager on the road due to its history (all I have to say "fast and furious")

That's how I feel about the si..I feel the dub is the better buy..my car cost 3k more than the si. I spent the extra for goodies, I was goona name them but u all know what I'm talking about..dsg..is the greatest thing since the engine..in the city u never feel it shift and it does 6 times before 50mph..u can't explain it unless spending time with it..look up dsg vs 6 speed on utube it shows 2 stock gtis racing and the dsg wins by 1.5cars..I race my car all the time and on rolls I put it into "s" and when I punch it the computer in the tranny will always pick the best gear..and when cars are even with me(power wise) the tranny will make the diffrence..it has happened many times..now a stock gti dsg will always beat a si..I have done this race 5 times with my friends si when I was stock..so now I have a CAI 250 a chip giac (550) a DV awe(120) and PCV (75)..I have dyno'd 249whp 310tq thats 286hp and 356tq to the flywheel (stock gti 180whp 200tq) ...needless to say my car flies now..top speed 162mph..I kill sti's and stock evo's..I am about even with the new sti with a full exhuast..

So we may have more small problems..and cost a little more..but when u see what u get 4 the price it def worth it..my car gets avg 30mpg..so easy and carefree to drive..and I see way more si's that gti's on the road these days..the hid's and 18 huffs get the attention..in a grown up way..but to each their own.
