I was an IT Quality Assurance Manager for Staples Inc for a little over 4 years. I was then laid off late July 08. I took a few months off and started job hunting around October 08. Ended up at the new place (Canopy Financial) in February 09.

I honestly hated every moment I was at Staples. The corporate bullshit ... being held back ... blatantly being told "you're wrong", only to be right, yet have the goof be deemed a "team mistake". I took the layoff as a blessing-in-disguise.

At Canopy started off as an IT QA Analyst, 6 weeks later, given full control over all IT application designs, enhancements, and functionality. My sole purpose is to drive the product into the future and make it look really really really good. I think my official title is IT Application Architect or something.
