Under GM, they tried literally everything to get Saturn off the ground.
No one bought into the idea of Saturn as domestic brand selling Opels.
And the cars that preceded the current Vue, the Astra and Aura where just plain awful.
There's more value in the distribution network and the dealerships than there is in the cars or the name.
I was reading on autoblog I think that Penske might try to distribute Renaults or some other european cars as just act as an importer of european car makers looking to get back into the US market.
