im not sure if its the same for the civic...but for the rear you really just need a longer bolt and some washers. thats what i did. if you are familiar with the rear suspension, you can kinda see why thats all it needs.

i have washers in the rear, it took the alignment guy a few tries before getting the right amount in. i havent heard any negative things about shimming the rear for tegs.
