They need to look at the overall donations of all the dealerships -- if 95% of the ones staying open are donating to the GOP as well, then it makes sense that 95% of the closing dealerships are GOP supporters. Without these baseline numbers, the claims are meaningless.

Now if it turns out that a much higher chunk of the dealers staying open have donated to Democrats, then this might be worth looking into.
