my aunt's got a place there and the island is just effin awesome. never done one of the resorts though, but i do know they are typical of the other all-inclusive places and have all the activities you could want to do.

one of the sweetest things to do, if you can find someone to hook you up, is to raft down the river with a Rastafarian ... its these bamboo rafts that you use a giant pole to go down the river with and you roll with Rastafarians if you lucky enough. its sweet goign through the jungle like that
