From an outsider's perspective, Laker fans blow chunks. Let me explain.
Oregon gets a lot of Californian transplants. Combine that with some people's need to follow front-runners (ie, Lakers), and we have a large chunk of Lakers fans. I had the opportunity to go to the first Lakers/Blazers game this year - if you're a Laker fan, you'll remember it. It was your worst regular season loss and the game where Trevor Ariza took out (inadvertently) Rudy Fernandez. Regardless, tons of Laker fans showed up to support their team, which I don't have a problem with at all. Their pompous attitude, even when down by 25 points, was ridiculous. On the train home, Laker fans were still yelling at Blazer fans (after the Lakers just got their ass beat) about how the game doesn't mean shit, etc. Unfortunately, this is more then norm than an exception. I went to 18 games this regular season, and no other opposing team's fanbase did anything even remotely similar.
edit: and on a sort of related note, of course they're all wearing oversized Kobe jerseys. All of them.
hmmm do other opposing team's have that much fans at the Blazers game? I doubt it

So your argument is kind of flawed.
