I doubt a welded on front clip can be nearly as structurally sound as the unibody that rolled off the production line. Other than that, and the legality issues, I guess there's nothing wrong with it. If you can live with knowing that your chassis is inherently weaker than a stock chassis, and you can get around the whole "why is your steering wheel on the wrong side?" thing, then go for it.
