Truck- What kind...I say hell yeah if your talking about a real truck (72-89ish Silverado, Ram Dullay, Chevy/GMC 3500, Ford F350, etc.)...no if you want a small truck

Why not get a 4 door 92-95 Civic and do a LS swap? Or B16(:ghey...can't go wrong with a 4 door car in college that is "fairly quick" and gets good gas mileage...plus I doubt most people would even bother giving the 4 door a second look, good if you don't want your car stolen again.
