we don't know much about the event that led up to the crash but i think it stupid. I mean a lot of people would say jesus save us or something like that no? also look at the Hudson river crash... the pilot was told to head back towards the airport... he didn't and he saved the day. I mean in an event like that the pilot should be allowed to use his judgment he is trained for that! looking back and dissecting the crash you'll always find errors.
