on my old maxima i had trouble finding parts so i was foolish enough to actually saw off the top of the shifter. it was ghetto as hell and i felt like a ricer but it got the job done. right now i have a $30 matrix short shifter in my civic. it works fine and doesnt feel like its gonna break anytime soon. B&M is the way to go if you want to spend the money. oc_civic has B&M and his throws are very short and smooth. for me i would rather spend to money somewhere else though and just practice getting consistant shifts.
