I'm trying to decipher the engine code error on my Accord 2.0iLS year 2000 (UK model) using the jumper trick across 8 and 13. Doing so gave no flashes at all. (by the way, I assume the engine isn't running for this).
I've found (I think) the DCL socket; it looks the same as others posted here, except the numbering is different. Where posts here show:

/ 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 \

Mine is:

/16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9\
/ 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1\ (don't know how to post a photo).

Terminals 16, 14, 7, 5 and 4 are the only ones that appear to have any copper connecting fingers, the rest look empty, so linking 8 and 13 with either format would do nothing. Can anyone offer any suggestions to find the fault code, apart from buying a proprietary piece of test gear?
