Arrested is no biggie since you go to a county jail for holding, then charged, arraigned and bail amount set.
Depending on severity of crime and the judge/jury involved your time determines where you go. Under 3 years (2yrs 11mos 29days) including good behaviour time means you go to county jail. Anything over that is state time where you need to start worrying about the ass warrior.

So keep it under 3 years and you are all good, county time is a breeze.
