I also watch Kimmel, at least part of his show, on a regular basis. Sometimes it misses, but often funny and he does interviews well imo. It's improved a lot since it first came on.

The Carson Daily show was actually funny at one point. I never watched regularly enough to say when it got good (or when it stopped) but I remember, in particular, it being at least decent with some funny stuff (whenever I happened to see it) around the time Brittney Spears shaved her head.
They had a guy who was already bald play her, smoking, holding a baby doll by it's leg or something. Couple sketches along those lines, and some other stuff too...
