Curley, I'll check out elitecaraudio right now.
So when a amp pumps out 250watts rms.. around what range sub should I get rms for it to run at just below full excursion?
Logically getting a 500rms sub for this amp would not make sense... so I was thinking somewhere in the ballpark of 200-300rms would be wise?
As for the Clarion headunit... and other headunits.. what gives a headunit that nice soundstage and good SQ... I guess my def. of SQ would mean hearing nuances in the music that normally wouldnt be heard in a low quality headunit.
From my previous headunit a Blaupunkt cd-70 san francisco(I had to change it because of skipping and the damn thing would all of a sudden switch over to the radio whenever it felt like it...)
the sound quality of that vs my current 9300 are east and west.. for example when I tossed in a dave matthews band CD, I could hear extra nuances in the music.. compared to the pioneer which sounds muffled and just flat.
Mind you same speakers and amp from then till now.
I did read that car audio help website and it gets very very technical
sorry for the rambling..but I'm a very curious when it comes to good sound quality
