d15b overheating problem
My car is overheating badly. I am about two weeks from getting a new engine but I need to drive the car from now till then (I need a motor cause my rear main seal, crank seal and oil seal are all bad or on there way to being bad.) I also believe my rings are going as well. Anyways when I am driving the car overheats worse even with the heater on full blast. When I idle the fan does kick on but it does not bring the temp down. Is it possible that my thermostat is bad? Usually reving the motor will bring the temp down but not in my case. I am burning white smoke out my tail pipe when I start it up and drive for a while but it eventually it goes away is this symptoms of a blown head gasket? Like I said I just need to be able to drive it without it overheating for another two weeks and I will be rid of this problem of an engine and have a smooth running car finally. Thanks in advance for any help.
