Maybe I'm being to harsh but I just don't like showcars. Since you say the stuff you have in the car was provided by sponsorship deals, than thats cool. But you're probably an exception, most people have to pay for their stuff, and I find it completely retarded to dish out heavy money to modify your car's performance, trying to make it faster, but at the same time putting in huge subs, speakers and amps weighing the car down. IMO it doesn't make sense to have both and I'm sure you can see why.

I remember couple of years ago, seeing this big shot get out of a lamborgini, everyone was like "wow check out the car" and so we approached it to take a look. When we looked inside we noticed that the car was automatic!!!! I don't even think they come with automatic transmission so this fag must have changed it after market to AUTOMATIC! a fu*cking automatic lamborgini! lol, what a homo we all thought, and the car and guy lost all our interest and respect.

I guess the same sh%t could kind of apply to your car. It looks mean, you have diamond floor mats, racing medals, shifter knob, nos, etc, etc, but then its AUTOMATIC and it has two huge sub boxes weighing the car down.

That was my point. But thats only my opinion.

Why is the car a poser car? As I said in my last post, the car is fully sponsored, hence all the stuff you see. Lots of stuff was installed for show, but the performance stuff works, it's not just there for looks. Is the car a race car? No...it will be taken to the track just to see how it runs, but it's never going to be that fast.

The car is used to drive to work everyday, that's why there is a big stereo in there. She likes to listen to music. And apparently you have a problem with that. The cam gears, intake, pulleys, headers, exhaust are there because she thought the car was a little slow. The car is now a bit quicker and she's happy with it for now. Currently we're considering a JRSC or Greddy turbo because she wants more power all the time, not just when you hit the switch. But according to you, that's wrong because the car has a stereo.

Let me guess, you've got that sweet OBX intake with a gutted interior and stock wheels on the front for a better launch right?

We don't consider the car a show car because it's primary purpose is not to win shows. It is a means of transportation that also serves as advertisement for our business.

You act like there's something wrong with building a car with everything. So you can have performance but not looks or sound, or looks but not performance. Why can't you have it all?

The showcar excuse is just a crutch for those who can't build a car right. I get sick of people who justify the shoddy work on their cars with the answer "it's a showcar so it doesn't have to drive" or some lame excuse like that. That's why I keep saying this isn't really a show car. It's a daily driver that goes to shows. The car wasn't built to please judges or gain exposure, that's just a nice side effect. First and foremost, the car was built to make it's owner happy. And it does, so end of story.
