Get over yourself. There are over 35,000 security guards throughout the place from every possible angle and I am sure there are even more that we don't know about. The method for Obama to get to the White House is classified as well so you don't know where he will be.
I can guarantee you that at some point he will be standing at that podium giving a speech...and thats all a person needs to know to setup the shot.
Of course if they shot him at the inauguration it would make him a martyr and that would be counterproductive to anyone thinking of actually doing something like that...based on race at least.
