some tricks. i picked up this beater system (p3 5xxmhz, 256mb) from a friend of mine to fuck around with and its pretty slow. obviously the specs arent the best. should i bother with a processor upgrade or will memory suffice? i figure this board should take at least 512.

also, are there any programs that will work for using it as a file storage/ftp server, etc? any file system storage size limitations? any sata pci cards that are recommended over others? that's essentially why i picked it up
