I miss my '85 Xtra-Cab Deluxe (2wd) 5-spd. It was my first "car", and the most trouble-free vehicle I've ever owned. I put 1040 watts and 11 speakers in it with 3 amps, active crossover, 10-disc changer, tape deck, radar detector, alarm with motion sensors, dynamat, custom-upholstered interior, wheels, tint, loaded with every option. All it ever needed was 1 clutch, oil changes, tires and wiper blades.
12 years later I totaled it rear-ending a Volvo wagon at 10 mph. My bumper was lower than theirs. It destroyed the whole front end and fixing it wasn't in my budget at the time. Sold it for $600 and it got a new lease on life in Mexico. Occasionally it pops up in one of my dreams. I think I'm destined to own another one, especially since discovering that adapter... but it's hard to improve on perfection.
Edit: How do you put a B18 in 'em? They spin backwards? Who makes a trans for that?
